Dirt

The namesake. An Australian Cattle Dog — stubborn, intense, and relentless — who narrates most of what you'll read here.

Dirt was a pain in the ass as a puppy. He was every bit a typical Blue Heeler — stubborn, intense, and relentless. The kind of dog who herds you around the kitchen, argues about bedtime, and takes his job (whatever he's decided it is that day) extremely seriously.

He's also the reason this site exists. Most of the stories here are told in his voice — sharp-eyed, a little judgmental, and better at noticing what's actually going on with the humans than the humans are.

They're not really stories about a dog. They're about mental health, relationships, self-care, and the small, often-overlooked lessons hiding in everyday life. Dirt just gets to the point faster than we do.
